Aldarra Golf Club

Fall City, Washington

Private Club · 18 Holes · Par 72 · 7,320 yds · Members Only · 4.7

An ultra-exclusive Tom Fazio design in the Cascade foothills east of Seattle, Aldarra features dramatic elevation changes through old-growth forest with Snoqualmie Valley views. The walking-only policy and limited membership create an intimate, unhurried atmosphere.

History & Heritage

Aldarra Golf Club opened in 2001 as Tom Fazio\'s first and still only design in Washington State, built on the 525-acre former Boeing family farm in the Cascade foothills east of Seattle. Conceived as a "players club" — walking-only, no real estate development, focused purely on the golf experience.

Fazio was initially reluctant but was won over by the rolling terrain. The result is among the top-rated private courses in the Pacific Northwest. Limited membership keeps it uncrowded, and the walking-only policy reflects a commitment to traditional golf values.

Signature Holes

15
Hole 15 Par 3 · 234 yards

The marquee hole — requires threading your tee shot between two large trees framing the green, often described as "kicking a field goal." A demanding long iron with no margin for error.

3
Hole 3 Par 5 · 550 yards

A strategic three-shot par 5 with a particularly tricky green, especially when the pin sits on the left side. Demands thoughtful course management from tee to green.

What to Expect

Immaculate conditioning — among the purest turf in the Pacific Northwest. The routing weaves through meadows and mature trees with occasional Cascade mountain views. Fazio\'s greens are bolder than his typical work, with significant contour. Bent grass throughout runs fast.

The course demands precision over power. Walking-only policy and limited membership create an intimate, unhurried atmosphere unlike typical Pacific Northwest private clubs.

Playing Tips

Green reading is the primary challenge — the bold putting surfaces are Fazio\'s main defense.

Bent grass fairways and greens run fast. Adjust for the speed.

The walking-only routing is designed for walkability, but the terrain rolls. Be prepared for some elevation changes on foot.

At 71.2 rating / 138 slope, the course has teeth despite not being overpowering in length.
