Canterbury Golf Club is one of only two clubs in history (alongside Pinehurst) to have hosted all five men\'s rotating major championships: U.S. Open (1940, 1946), PGA Championship (1973, won by Jack Nicklaus for his 12th major), U.S. Amateur, U.S. Senior Open, and Senior PGA Championship — 13 major championships total.
