History & Heritage

Hallbrook Country Club was developed by the Hall family as a premier residential community in south Johnson County, Leawood. Tom Fazio designed the golf course with Tom Watson consulting — the eight-time major champion and Kansas City native. The property for the course was chosen first, with residential lots plotted afterward, ensuring the golf came first.

The course features notable elevation changes uncommon for the KC area, with natural creek systems threading through the layout and heavily wooded hillsides framing multiple holes. Rated 74.1/140 slope — a demanding private layout.
