Karsten Creek Golf Club
Stillwater, Oklahoma
Home of Oklahoma State University's legendary golf program and host of multiple NCAA Championships, Karsten Creek is a Tom Fazio design that has produced countless PGA Tour professionals. The layout around Lake Louise features dramatic lakeside holes, bold bunkering, and one of the finest collegiate golf facilities in America.
History & Heritage
Karsten Creek was designed by Tom Fazio, opening in 1994 and immediately named Golf Digest\'s Best New Public Course. Named for Karsten Solheim (PING founder). Home of Oklahoma State\'s 11-time national champion golf program — alumni include Rickie Fowler, Viktor Hovland, and Matthew Wolff.
The course stretches over 7,400 yards along 110-acre Lake Louise (named for Solheim\'s wife). Multiple NCAA Championships hosted. The back nine along the lake features one of the most dramatic finishes in college golf.
Signature Holes
A par 5 hugging Lake Louise the entire way — a true risk/reward closer where the lake swallows anything pulled left. The green beneath the OSU clubhouse creates one of the most dramatic finishes in college golf.
What to Expect
Extremely difficult championship test. Hilly front nine through native Oklahoma terrain; back nine opens along Lake Louise with water on the closing stretch. Wind is constant on the Stillwater prairie.
Semi-private — limited public access. Ranked among top public-access courses in America.
Playing Tips
Wind can add or subtract two clubs. Favor the right side on 16-18 to avoid Lake Louise.
No par or handicap on the scorecard by design — play your own game and manage expectations.
