Flamingo Island at Lely Resort was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. (with Roger Rulewich) and opened in 1990 — one of the last designs by the legendary architect, who reportedly considered it among the finest courses he ever designed. The only RTJ Sr. design in the Naples area.

Twice rated by Golfweek among America\'s best resort courses. Lely Resort also features the Mustang Course (Lee Trevino design). The famous island green on the par-3 5th is one of the most photographed holes in Southwest Florida.
