Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club - North

Aloha, Oregon

Public Course · 18 Holes · Par 72 · 6,827 yds · $50–$90 · 4.2

A Bob Cupp design in the Tualatin Valley west of Portland, the Reserve North Course winds through mature Oregon trees with vineyard views and the Tualatin Mountains as a backdrop. The accessible public layout offers a refined parkland experience with well-maintained bent grass surfaces and strategic bunkering.

History & Heritage

Reserve Vineyards\\' North Course was designed by Bob Cupp and opened in 1997 west of Portland in the Tualatin Valley. Cupp spent 15 years as Jack Nicklaus\'s senior designer before going independent, winning Golf World\'s Designer of the Year in 1992. The facility has hosted Champions Tour senior major "The Tradition" and Peter Jacobsen\'s Fred Meyer Challenge.

The North Course (also called "The Cupp Course") employs a links-style design contrasting with the tree-lined South Course, using undulating native grass mounds, judicious bunkering, and formidable greens with short grass surrounds.

Signature Holes

17
Hole 17 Par 4 · 459 yards

The green is part of a spectacular 43,000-square-foot triple green complex shared by the 1st, 8th, and 17th holes — one of the most unusual green complexes in Oregon golf.

13
Hole 13 Par 4 · 400 yards

A severe dogleg left where positioning past the 100-yard marker is essential for an open approach to the green.

What to Expect

A links-style layout at par 72 stretching to 6,840 yards with a 140 slope. Undulating native grass mounds, firm greens with short-grass surrounds, and strategic bunkering create a feel closer to Oregon\'s coastal dunes than the Willamette Valley.

The 43,000-square-foot triple green shared by holes 1, 8, and 17 is among the largest shared surfaces in the Pacific Northwest.

Note: The North Course is reserved exclusively for private members the first through fifteenth of each month. Public access is available the second half of each month.

Playing Tips

Firm greens with short-grass surrounds make bump-and-run recovery shots viable throughout. Don\'t automatically reach for the lob wedge.

Hole 4 has a deceptively long carry over marsh — take an extra club.

On the par-5 12th, a creek runs 75 yards before the green and may be hidden from your second shot. Lay up or commit fully.

The severe dogleg-left 13th demands a tee shot past the 100-yard marker for a clean approach.
