TPC Louisiana
Avondale, Louisiana
Host of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on the PGA Tour, TPC Louisiana is a Pete Dye design through the bayou landscape west of the city. The 7,425-yard layout features Dye's trademark forced carries over wetlands, dramatic bunkering, and a swampy Louisiana terrain that creates a unique championship golf setting.
History & Heritage
TPC Louisiana opened in 2004, designed by Pete Dye through 250 acres of wetlands in the Mississippi River Delta as part of the Audubon Golf Trail. Permanent home of the PGA Tour\'s Zurich Classic of New Orleans since 2005 — the Tour\'s only team-format event.
Flat, water-laced Louisiana bayou landscape with waste areas and wetland carries. Stadium-course design provides spectator mounds. Semi-private — one of the most affordable and accessible PGA Tour venue courses for public play in the country.
Signature Holes
Part of the bayou-and-wetland routing where Dye threaded fairways through native Louisiana marsh. Railroad ties, pot bunkers, and wetland carries create a distinctly different Dye experience from his inland designs.
What to Expect
Flat modern Dye layout 15 minutes from the French Quarter. Water-laced bayou terrain with forced wetland carries. Consistently well-conditioned as a PGA Tour venue. Semi-private — public tee times available at $100-175.
Practice facility is one of the best in the region.
Playing Tips
Wind is the primary defense on this flat layout — adjust club selection constantly.
