Semi-Private · 18 Holes · Par 72 · 7,114 yds · $90–$175 · 4.5

Home of the 3M Open on the PGA Tour, TPC Twin Cities is an Arnold Palmer design in Blaine that offers tour-caliber golf accessible to the public. The layout features rolling terrain, strategic water hazards, and the immaculate conditioning expected of a TPC facility.

History & Heritage

TPC Twin Cities opened in 2000 in Blaine, designed by Arnold Palmer with Minnesota native Tom Lehman. Originally hosting the 3M Championship (Champions Tour, 2001-2018), the course stepped up to host the full PGA Tour\'s 3M Open beginning in 2019. The event has been extended through 2030.

A 2018 renovation by Steve Wenzloff and Tom Lehman updated the course before the PGA Tour transition. The layout features abundant water along many holes with rolling terrain and the immaculate conditioning expected of a TPC facility. Tony Finau won the 2022 3M Open here.

Signature Holes

7
Hole 7 Par 4 · 340 yards

A drivable short par 4 featuring Arnold Palmer\'s signature beach bunker — a classic risk-reward temptation. The aggressive play can yield birdie or eagle, but the bunker catches overconfident tee shots.

18
Hole 18 Par 4 · 450 yards

A demanding closer that provides exciting conclusions during the 3M Open. Water and strategic bunkering create a genuine championship finishing hole.

What to Expect

A 7,164-yard par-72 layout with very large greens that have relatively little undulation. Abundant water hazards throughout. Three par 5s all offer birdie opportunities, making them key scoring holes during tour events.

The course offers a solid balance of difficult holes and scoring chances. Tour-caliber conditioning year-round as expected from the TPC network.

Semi-private — public access with PGA Tour pedigree at $90-175.

Playing Tips

Driving accuracy matters — water is in play on many holes and rough can be punishing.

The large greens mean reaching the putting surface is achievable, but wrong-tier positions create long lag putts.

On the drivable 7th, assess risk honestly — the beach bunker catches aggressive plays.

The long par 3s (three exceed 200 yards) are among the eight toughest holes. Take enough club.
