University Ridge Golf Course
Madison, Wisconsin
A Robert Trent Jones Jr. design and home course of the Wisconsin Badgers, University Ridge features rolling terrain through prairie and oak savanna. The public layout hosts the Steve Stricker-hosted AmFam Championship on the Champions Tour and offers championship golf at accessible university pricing.
History & Heritage
University Ridge opened in 1991, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. as the home course of the Wisconsin Badgers golf program. Hosted the PGA Tour Champions\' American Family Insurance Championship from 2016-2023 (Steve Stricker\'s event), plus NCAA championships. Has won awards every year since 1992.
The AmFam Championship moved to TPC Wisconsin in 2024, but University Ridge remains a top public course in Wisconsin.
Signature Holes
Part of a closing stretch featuring risk-reward decisions through the rolling Driftless Area landscape. The Champions Tour pros found it a fair but challenging test.
What to Expect
