History & Heritage

Wolf Run Golf Club was carved through 215 acres of heavily wooded terrain with deep ravines in Zionsville, northwest of Indianapolis. It earned a reputation as one of Indiana\'s most dramatic and challenging layouts with a slope of 148 and rating of 75.8.

IMPORTANT: Wolf Run permanently closed in 2017-2018. The Town of Zionsville purchased the 215-acre property and is converting it into the Carpenter Nature Preserve, with trails and facilities expected by late 2025-2026. The course is no longer playable.

The dramatic ravine topography that made it compelling golf now serves as a natural area for the community.
