History & Heritage
Hammock Bay opened around 2004, designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy near Marco Island within the Hammock Bay community adjacent to Collier-Seminole State Park (over 7,200 acres). The course earned Audubon Gold certification for environmental stewardship.
The design takes advantage of the highest elevations in Southwest Florida, routing through live oaks, bay, marshes, and mangroves. Access is typically through JW Marriott Marco Island resort packages, making it one of the few premium courses accessible to Marco Island visitors.

Widely praised for its beauty, playing over or alongside natural mangrove and marsh terrain. The Audubon-certified setting with Ten Thousand Islands proximity creates a nature-immersive par 3.
What to Expect
Live oak-lined fairways winding through bay, marshes, mangroves, and sand bunkers. Roomier off the tee than it looks — the visual intimidation of mangrove carries often overstates the actual distance. The back nine routing through bay and wetland landscapes is especially praised.
