Hurstbourne Country Club
Louisville, Kentucky
One of Louisville's largest and most active private clubs, Hurstbourne features a well-maintained layout through rolling eastern Jefferson County terrain. The mature parkland course offers a classic Kentucky golf experience with tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkers, and a strong tournament hosting history.
History & Heritage
Hurstbourne\'s property traces to a settlement established by William Linn in 1779. The Championship course was laid out by Chic Adams in 1967, with Keith Foster substantially renovating in 2005 and Arthur Hills contributing a 1986 remodel. Sitting on 211 acres, it is member-owned and widely regarded as one of Kentucky\'s premier private clubs.
In 2025, Hurstbourne hosted a PGA Tour event — the course played as the 5th hardest on Tour that season with the 7th-toughest 36-hole cut. The historic 30,000-square-foot Gothic Revival clubhouse reflects the property\'s frontier-era origins.
