History & Heritage
Shoal Creek Golf Club opened in 2001, designed by Steve Wolfard as an upscale championship public course in northeast Kansas City (Clay County). Owned by KC Parks and Recreation, operated by KemperSports. Earned 4-star Golf Digest recognition and consistently ranks among Missouri\'s best public courses.
The layout features more elevation change than most KC-area courses, with Penn G-2 bentgrass greens and Zoysia fairways. Shoal Creek itself winds through the property. Open year-round with excellent drainage.

One of several holes showcasing the surprising elevation changes, mature trees, and Shoal Creek water features. The variety of challenging holes with natural terrain gives this municipal course a private-club feel.
What to Expect
A 6,950-yard par-71 with more elevation change than typical KC courses. Tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering, and Shoal Creek winding through the property. Conditioning is excellent for a municipal course.
Public at $35-65. Regularly hosts corporate and charity outings.
