Southern Hills Plantation Club opened in Brooksville, Florida, featuring a Pete Dye-designed course on rolling terrain unusual for the Florida Gulf Coast. The course stretches to over 7,300 yards, one of the longest Pete Dye designs in the state.

Dye took advantage of Brooksville's natural elevation changes to create dramatic ridge-top views with his trademark railroad ties, island-style greens, and demanding forced carries.

In 2026, Heritage Golf Group acquired the club, bringing additional resources and expanded access.
