TwinEagles Golf Club - Talon Course
Naples, Florida
A Jack Nicklaus design in the TwinEagles community north of Naples, the Talon Course features bold bunkering, strategic water hazards, and pristine conditioning through native Florida landscape. The challenging layout hosted LPGA and Champions Tour qualifying events.
History & Heritage
TwinEagles\' Talon Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II, originally opening in 1999 with a significant renovation completed in 2021. One of two courses at TwinEagles (the other being the Steve Smyers-designed Eagle Course).
The Talon hosted the PGA Tour Champions\' Chubb Classic (formerly ACE Group Classic) for 11 consecutive years, putting it on the national stage. Loren Roberts clinched the 2006 ACE Group Classic on the demanding 18th hole. Rated 75.9/145 slope from the tips post-renovation.
Signature Holes
The demanding closer where Loren Roberts clinched the 2006 ACE Group Classic — water in play with a premium on accuracy. Part of a final four-hole stretch considered among the most compelling closers in Southwest Florida.
What to Expect
Classic Nicklaus design: length, tough par 3s, strategic bunkering, and elevated greens with firm fast putting surfaces. Wide fairways tighten as you approach the greens — accurate iron play matters more than driving distance.
The 2021 Nicklaus renovation updated the course to modern standards. Champions Tour professionals have described the finishing stretch as one that "can bite you."

Playing Tips
The par 3s are the teeth of the course. Club selection is critical on every one-shotter.
On 18, favor the right side off the tee to avoid the water hazard left.
Bail-out areas are typically on the high side of greens throughout. When in doubt, miss high.
The 145 slope from the tips post-renovation is legitimate. Choose tees honestly.
