The tight, tree-lined par-70 through mature Memphis hardwoods demands precision and course management from tee to green.

History & Heritage

TPC Southwind opened in 1988 in southeast Memphis and has hosted a PGA Tour event continuously since, first as the St. Jude Classic and now as the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first event in the FedExCup Playoffs featuring the top 70 players in the world.

Ron Prichard led a significant redesign that tightened the course and enhanced its championship character. The par-70 layout winds through mature Memphis hardwoods with water on numerous holes. The WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational was held here from 2019 to 2021.

The closing stretch from holes 11 through 18 is one of the most demanding on Tour, producing memorable finishes including Will Zalatoris's three-hole playoff victory in 2022.
