History & Heritage
Eastover opened in 1963 in New Orleans East, designed by Joe Lee with 36 holes on bayou terrain lined with live oaks. Hurricane Katrina devastated the property in 2005, flooding the entire complex. After a brief reopening attempt (8 months), the course was redesigned as the Golf Club of New Orleans at Eastover.
The $13+ million post-Katrina reconstruction made it one of the most significant golf rebuilds. A historically important recreational anchor for New Orleans East.
