The Ranch Golf Club opened in 2004 on a former cattle ranch in the eastern San Jose foothills, designed by Forrest Richardson. The layout carves through dramatic hillside terrain with panoramic views stretching across the Silicon Valley floor.
One of the best value-to-views ratios in Silicon Valley golf. The setting feels completely removed from the tech corridor despite being minutes from downtown San Jose.

The most talked-about (and polarizing) hole — a steep, dramatic hillside par that divides opinion between thrilling and brutal. Elevated tee shots throughout provide memorable visuals.
What to Expect
Par 71, approximately 6,600 yards with severe elevation changes on nearly every hole. Expect blind shots, sidehill lies, and cart-path-only conditions on steep terrain. The Silicon Valley views are the real star.
Public at $40-75 — among the most affordable in the area. A significant physical challenge even with a cart.
